- Traffic citations
- Curfew violations
- Alcohol and drug citations
- Bicycle citations
- Smoking citations
Other juvenile matters are handled by the Juvenile Division.
General Information
You will not receive a courtesy notice. Your Court appearance date is noted on your citation.
All fines ordered by the Juvenile Hearing Officer are paid at our Collections Division located at the main courthouse.
If you fail to appear on your citation or fail to pay the ordered fine, the Court may notify DMV.
Non-Correctable Violations
Juveniles are required to appear with a parent(s) or guardian(s) on all citations.
Correctable Violations
Even if your citation is for a correctable violation, a court appearance is still required. You must bring the completed proof of correction to court with you.
Traffic School
Traffic school is NOT AUTHORIZED, unless specifically ordered by the Juvenile Hearing Officer. The Court must receive the traffic school completion notice within 60 days from the date of your appearance. If you fail to complete traffic school and/or fail to provide the Court with a certificate of completion, the Court will report your citation to DMV as a traffic conviction, which could adversely affect your insurance.
